I've been wanting to open a family restaurant ever since Melanie and I moved to Hamilton. Nothing fancy, nothing flashy, just a place I can take my parents when they come to visit us. A place to grab a bite and a mid-day beer after biking the trail all morning. Somewhere I can spend time alone or be with friends.

I want our son, Arthur, to like at least 50% of the menu by the time he's 5. I want it to be seasonally inspired, but not overly complicated.

It will change and grow as the neighbourhood does, and hopefully, one day, it will feel like it's been there all along.
